The Pont du Gard 


The region has many and varied restaurants to offer.... Close to the 'Mas des Tronquisses' there are possibilities for hiking, exploring caves, canoeing, bathing, hang-gliding, fishing and horse-riding.

Not to be missed : the Roman bridge on the river Gard ('le pont du gard'), the historic town of Uzès, the Camargue, the Roman arenas in the towns of Nîmes and Orange, and the antiques fair in Barjac (held each year at Easter and on the 15th august)...


Take time to visit theses places :
- Trip 1: Le Guidon du Bouquet
Mont Bouquet, all-round view at 650 m - Allègre's castle from the 12th century - Lussan, a small village located on a rocky outcrop.
- Trip 2: Les Concluses
Les Concluses, a mile around rocky pass through scrubland - the village of Goudargues which posseses a pretty church from the 17th century - Sabrank, remnant of a stronghold.
- Trip 3: Uzès
Uzès' duchy, a medieval stronghold - le pont du Gard - the Haribo's sweet museum !
- Trip 4: L'Ardèche
Barjac, a medieval village (which sets up an antique dealer international fair in August, the 15th and during Easter) -Aven Orgnac's abyss and its prehistoric museum - Ardèche's Gorge ( reachable by car or by canoe ).
- Trip 5: Les cévennes
Anduze and its potteries - the Bambouseraie and its steam train - Saint jean du Gard situated in the centre of cevenoles' valleys (and its gigantic aquarium to visit).
- Trip 6: La Céze
Saint-Ambroix village and the legend of the Vuolo Biou - Saint-Florent upon Auzonnet : tour of the Pastis' factory- Les Fumades, a thermal spa and its casino.
